My sister and I had the horrible task of planning our father’s funeral. It was not expected, and it definitely took its toll on both of us. The only peace we had was knowing that our father had accepted Jesus as his Savior, so we would see him again. Having to plan a funeral though, that was rough regardless. We only handled the necessary parts, knowing that we could look at monuments in Morristown NJ down the road since it was not something that would be done right away anyway. We just had to focus on getting through the viewings and actual funeral first.
We took our time getting his headstone, but we finally picked out a day about three months after he went to Heaven. We knew that it was something that had to be done, and we decided to quit stalling. The company who handled the headstone really made it much easier for us. Read the rest of this entry
